    Make a Will - Make a Difference

Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice’s Make a Will Week September 13 - 17, 2010

Writing a will gives real peace of mind, knowing that your loved ones will be taken care of as you wish. And thanks to a generous group of solicitors and lawyers, you can do that and support Birmingham St Mary's Hospice at the same time. The suggested donation is £70 - £120 per will (mirror wills would be two donations).

How to take part

If you would like to make a will and raise money for the Hospice, simply:

  • Contact your solicitor or lawyer of choice from the list provided and make an appointment between September 13 and 17, mentioning Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice when you call
  • Attend your appointment and make your will
  • At the appointment the solicitor or lawyer will ask for your donation and give you a receipt (please make any cheques payable to Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice)

Is there any obligation to leave a gift in your will to the Hospice?

No. There is no obligation at all, but we are always grateful to people who remember us in this way. Legacies make up a large part of our income, funding around 15 percent of patient care.

If your needs are more complex than expected, your solicitor/lawyer will advise you at the appointment and discuss your options then.
